[ Dorian opens the door, looking the most casual that Henry's ever seen him. He's wearing a sweatshirt and some lounge pants, gesturing for Henry to come inside. ]

We're just watching a movie, [ he points out. ] Relax. We're not going to have some heartfelt dramatic conversations unless you want them.

That flood was - [He shrugs, but walks inside.] It was - messy.

[brushoff]

Understatement of the fucking century, [ Dorian gripes. ] I really don't know why the Admiral views mass trauma as a mechanism for getting people to bond.

[weboftime]

I'd like to hear arguments that the Admiral does anything differently than what I did.

[He does relax, though.]

Well. Shall we?

[brushoff]

The Admiral only does things differently because he's got a better PR firm, [ Dorian teases. ]

But yes. Here, I've got popcorn and drinks already made.

[ Plain Coke for Henry, rum and Coke for Dorian. His couch also has plenty of blankets, pillows, and all sort of accoutrement for a sleepover. ]

Why do you get alcohol?

[He's a damn adult, too!]

[brushoff]

Because I didn't know if you liked the taste.

[ He offers Henry his rum and coke before saying, ] You haven't had rum and coke, right? If you like it, I'll make you one of your own.

[weboftime]

[He takes the drink and tries it with a shrug.]

It's not terrible.

[brushoff]

[ Yeah, because it's 75% coca cola. That's why it's not terrible, Henry. ]

You can finish that one off. I'll make one for myself.

[weboftime]

[He just likes sweet things! And this is sweet enough.]

Thanks. [He settles down in a chair, crossing his legs.]

[brushoff]

You're welcome, [ Dorian says, before he presses play on the tv remote. Jurassic Park time! Also time for him to make another Dorian drink, but he can mix a cocktail during the first few minutes of the film.

Once he's done, he sits on the couch and immediately claims a blanket and three pillows for himself. ]

[Over the course of the movie and the next, Henry slowly gets more and more drunk. Until, after a third cocktail, he sits against Dorian.]

This is the quietest Trixie's ever been, you know.

[brushoff]

[ Dorian's been taking care not to get himself too drunk. He'll still make himself rum and cokes alongside Henry's but the good thing about being the bartender is that you can occasionally add a little bit less rum for yourself.

As Henry leans against him, Dorian adjusts the blankets so that they can cover Henry as well. ]

You know she'll be twice as loud to make up for it when she comes back to herself. Yelling about that cunt of an Admiral, knocking her out like the craven fucker he is.

[weboftime]

She's not even quiet in her own head. [He leans forward, elbows on his knees.]

[brushoff]

I suspect there's a lot of swearing, yelling, and cussing out other idiots on the Barge in her head.

[weboftime]

[He chuckles softly, not used to being that...free.]

I never knew the word cocksucker could be used for so many different people.

[brushoff]

And with so many different adjectives! Limey cocksucker, fussy cocksucker, useless cocksucker....

[Another laugh and he leans back.]

I've learned so many curses from her.

[brushoff]

Which one would you say is your favorite?

[He shakes his head.]

One day I'll use it on someone unsuspecting.

[brushoff]

When you decide who's going to be your unsuspecting victim, I'd love to see it.

[He's drunk. Everything's a possibility.]

[brushoff]

Absolutely Jon, [ Dorian laughs. ] He's cute when he's flustered. And also, he's least likely to punch you after you call him a cocksucker.

[Henry grimaces at that.]

Why is everything about attraction?

[brushoff]

Not everything, [ he shrugs. ] You're ignoring that second part of my statement. Attraction plays a part, but reading someone's personality does as well. In this case, knowing that Jon isn't retaliatory means that he's the perfect person to call a cocksucker. If you said that to one of our retaliatory assholes like, hmm, that ridiculous Flint man, you'd just get punched.
